Archive an Inquire and Mark as Closed Lost
Archiving an inquiry in Lightning Step helps you keep your records clean and up to date. Follow these steps to mark an inquiry as closed lost and archive it from your system.
Step 1: Open the inquiry profile for the client.

Step 2: Create an inquiry log to document any final notes.

Step 3: Update the inquiry status by selecting Update Inquiry Status.

Step 4: Set the status to Close Lost to indicate the inquiry will not proceed.

Step 5: If prompted, select another Facility. If not applicable, leave blank.

Step 6: Ensure fields like follow-up and others are left empty or set to "No follow up needed" as appropriate.


Step 7: Lock the record to finalize changes and indicate that the inquiry is closed lost.

Step 8: Edit the current episode by clicking the Edit (pencil) icon, then use the dropdown to close the episode.



Step 9: Set the episode status to Person Inactive, Discharged and click Save.

Now, the client no longer appears in the active inquiries section. The record is archived, showing the inquiry as closed lost. Keeping your inquiries up to date this way ensures your data stays organized and focused on current opportunities.
